Wow. It’s been a year.
I feel like the several years {2o10, 2011, 2012, 2013 and now 2014} have been YEARS. You know the kind of years that give you grey hairs and make you realize you are getting older, and a maybe just a bit wearier.
As life has sped up {and the interwebs have gotten maybe just a bit more pesky}, I have pulled back from blogging. But, selfishly, one of my favorite things about this space is the ability to benchmark…to celebrate…all that has happened in my life.
So here is a quick glimpse into my 2014.
Kicked off 2014 in Southern California with dear friends.
Travelled to Guatemala to see Feed the Children’s work, working to end childhood hunger.
Opened the Nashville Feed the Children office.
Officially launched the IF:Gathering with 1,200 women in Austin, Texas, and 40,000 live-streamers around the world.
And IF:Pray. And IF:Table. And IF:Equip.
Attended a few of my favorite conferences and reconnected with loads of people I love.
Visited Israel. What an incredible opportunity to see the Holy Land, walk where Jesus walked and process through what God is doing in my life.
Experienced Heaven on Earth…the Princess Louisa Inlet with people who leak Jesus like few I have ever encountered.
Packed up my cute little house in Nashville.
Said a lot of difficult goodbyes.
And up and moved to Austin.
Thankfully…I’ve had some friends and family who have already visited and smoothed out the transition. And met a host of welcoming Austinites.
Rested hard, played hard and worked hard with the best IFterns the world has ever seen.
Celebrated Thanksgiving with the fam in Mexico! Guacamole and Margaritas beat out Turkey and Stuffing in my book.
“Waltzed” the Danube with my parents, explored the German and Austrian Christmas Markets and saw the stunning lights of Budapest.
Cheers to 2014.
May 2015 bring joy, peace, good health, and lots of love. May we chase our callings. And may we always remember He who if faithful, He who carries us, He who sustains us.
I’ve been carrying you on my back from the day you were born,
And I’ll keep on carrying you when you’re old.
I’ll be there, bearing you when you’re old and gray.
I’ve done it and will keep on doing it, carrying you on my back, saving you.
